Research Interests

My research interests are in those epigenetic related enzymes that regulate gene expression; anti-bacterial or virus drug design and a few kinase signaling pathways. We are particularly interested in exploring the mechanism of posttranslational modification, gene regulatory proteins and their upstream signaling kinases that are aberrantly regulated in tumor or related diseases. We use a series of theoretical and experimental drug design strategies towards the development of protein-specific small-molecule (especially Chinese Natural Products) to further probe the protein function, and for the development into therapeutic agents.
